Guacamole Mafia is a band based in Los Angeles that plays California Country Rock – our mission is to present the country and folk rock music that came out of Los Angeles from the mid ‘60s to the mid ‘70s – because we think it’s great music – great songwriting by super-creative musicians, fantastic musicianship on the records with expert producers making it all work – the soundtrack of many lives – it started with the Byrds, who were made international stars by playing folk rock – they later went full country with Gram Parsons on Sweetheart Of the Rodeo – you also had Buffalo Springfield, an incredible band with three excellent songwriters, three excellent singers, and three excellent guitar players – Neil Young and Stephen Stills alone are responsible for dozens of great songs – then you had Poco with some really dense harmony, as well as Crosby, Stills and Nash – the Eagles, say no more – and Gram and Emmylou, too – Linda Ronstadt of course – band co-founders George Biner and Erica Wester are honoring what came before – George on guitar and vocals — Erica nailing down the high vocal – we welcome your support!
